KANSAS CITY, MO 7/10/2023 - Prepare for another wild adventure as the beloved Monster Matador returns in an action-packed new arc titled Once Upon Some Monsters in Mexico. Created and written by the brilliant Steven Prince (NIGHTMARE THEATRE), illustrated by the talented RINGO AWARD NOMINEE Fabio Alves (BANJAX, THE JUMP), and brought to life with vibrant colors by Alex Zief (CULT OF DRACULA, CARMILLA 1973), this 32-page comic is set to captivate both new and returning readers around the globe.
In a near future plagued by the sudden emergence of terrifying monsters, leaving devastation in their wake, one man stands tall as a symbol of hope and resilience. Ramon Alejandro Estévez-Guerrero, known as the Monster Matador, traverses the earth, waging an unyielding battle against these monstrous creatures. Fuelled by the memory of his late wife and driven by a desire to create a safer world for his daughter, he embodies the spirit of courage and determination.
Once Upon Some Monsters in Mexico picks up after the gripping events of Volume 1, where the Monster Matador finds himself reunited with his daughter in the heart of Mexico. However, their joyful reunion is cut short as a formidable new monster emerges, launching a vicious attack on Mexico City. In a race against time, the Monster Matador joins forces with a fearless group of monster-fighting Luchadores, forging an alliance that will test their mettle like never before. Together, they must confront the Matador's deepest fear to vanquish their colossal adversary, the dreaded MEGARACHA!

With a successful track record of funding FIVE Kickstarters, Monster Matador owes its immense popularity to the unwavering support of its dedicated backers and fans, solidifying its status as a remarkable indie comic sensation.
