Devil That Wears My Face delves into the sinister world of 18th-century Vatican upheaval, blending elements of faith, exorcism, and the malevolent grasp of demonic forces. The narrative unfolds in 1740, presenting Father Franco Vieri, an exorcist grappling with a crisis of faith, tasked with a vital mission to rescue a Spanish nobleman from the clutches of a sadistic demon. However, the exorcism takes a tragic turn, one you’ll excitedly excavate after reading the issue!
David Pepose and Alex Cormack collaborate seamlessly, crafting a tale that capitalizes on the allure of religious horror. As someone raised Catholic, the themes of guilt and fear resonate deeply, adding an extra layer of connection to the narrative. The writing is killer, filled with palpable tension and high-stress page turns that immerse readers into the story. It's easy to heave yourself through these pages, and once you hit the end, you're left praying to all the gods for the next issue. If anyone reads this and doesn't want the second helping, I question their sanity and love of comic books.
Cormack's artwork is nothing short of exceptional, consistently evolving and pushing boundaries with each new project. He fearlessly explores the darkest corners of the tale, infusing the pages with grit, blood, and sin. The visuals are hauntingly stunning, perfectly vibing with terror infused within the narrative.
Justin Birch's lettering adds a crucial element of organization and clarity to the pages, further enhancing the reading experience. His adept handling of the text ensures a smooth flow and amplifies the overall impact of the storytelling. I always know the book is in a good place when I see his name on the cover.
In the grand tradition of Mad Cave's offerings, The Devil That Wears My Face stands as a worthy addition to their product line. As the Halloween season approaches, this chilling comic promises to elevate the spooky factor, making it a must-read for horror junkies.
Devil That Wears My Face #1 rattles your bones and twists your spine as it journeys into the abyss of religious horror. Don't miss out on this epic release—grab your copy today and brace yourself for a fresh, terrifying experience.

This community has helped me, and my family, numerous times, and we’re finding ourselves in another difficult circumstance. My little cousin, Caitlyn, is only 21 years old and is about to have back surgery on the 23rd. She’s missed a ton of work and has been denied medical leave. She launched a Gofundme to try and help ease the struggle.
I know times are tough for all of us. I know the government is coming for their loans again (I’m right there with you), and it’s a hard October for many of us. If you can spare a couple bucks, it goes a long way, as does sharing the campaign on social media.
She’s an awesome human, and it’s heartbreaking that she’s been put into this situation, both physically and monetarily.
Here’s the link. Even if you’re just taking the time to read it, know we appreciate it.
